Abridged Fazaail-E-Amaal

Someone asked Hadhrat Bilal  ( رضي الله عنه‎) how Nabi  (صلى الله عليه وآله وصحبه وسلم) met his expenses (paid for his things).

Hadhrat Bilal ( رضي الله عنه‎) replied: “He never kept back anything for later. Whenever a poor person, whether hungry or naked came to him, he would make him over to me and I would then arrange for this needs by borrowing money from somebody. This is what usually happened.
